How did you fall in love with modeling?
After my first actual ‘model’ shoot, and I realized ‘Hey, these pics aren’t half bad!’
How were you discovered?
I started competing in pageants when I was younger, and one of my close pageant friends introduced me to her agency
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I don’t have any crazy shoot stories, I think the most taboo thing I’ve done is shoot a campaign cuddled up with a set boyfriend with my dad watching, lol.
How would you define your personal style?
Elegant and simple. I love job interview type of clothes.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
In a suburb of Detroit, and I don’t think my community influenced my style as much as my upbringing did. My mom never let me wear low cut or short clothes; I was never allowed to wear crop tops or ripped jeans, so it’s like those conservative roots followed with me.
Who is your style icon and why?
I love the way Ivanka Trump dresses, as well as Queen Rania of Jordan. I really admire how they can balance being sexy but still classy.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Fadil Berisha. I’ve never shot with him, but I plan on it one day! He is the official Miss Universe photographer, and he happens to be Albanian, just like me!
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
You are going to have to deal with opposition from people you know, and maybe even agencies. You just need to stay persistent and keep looking until you find someone excited about you, and who believes in you.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
I’m not as skilled with all that as you’d expect, lol. I usually use the Instagram app tools to sharpen/brighten my pictures if they weren’t taken by a photographer.
