Alexander Neuber is the owner and CEO of Look and Fashion Department which is a modelling agency. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
I have worked as a model myself and learned to love the profession there. That’s why I founded the modeling agency and consultancy for the fashion industry a few years ago.
How were you discovered?
I myself was then addressed on the street. To find models for my agency Look and Fashion Department, we use Scouts and Instagram.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I myself had a photo shoot in Asia for a men’s outfitters at a skyscraper. The models of my agency have many exciting shootings. Recently we had one with sharks.
How would you define your personal style?
I think sporty and elegant.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I grew up in Munich (Germany). In this city, much emphasis is placed on fashion. This influenced me.
Who is your style icon and why?
I do not necessarily have a person in mind because I like to be influenced by different styles. If I had to commit now I would currently Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond say. I really like this fashionable and elegant style.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Ellen von Unwerth. She has a talent to give the photos an incredible expressiveness. The pictures of her are great.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
The most important thing is that you never lose sight of your goal. The will to reach his goal. Never give up. Get up again after precipitation. Good self-discipline is very important. Have fun at the job and do what you love.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
I get the edited pictures of our models already edited by the photographers. If I even edit pictures myself, I use Photoshop.
