How did you fall in love with photography?
I study marketing and communications so I’m always involved with cameras and editing programs, I am a model but I do prefer making the photos or stage it the way I want to be photographed so basically I’m both model and photographer
How important is having a unique style as a photographer? How would you describe your style?
Style depends on your mood, some of my photos are things that I like the most (sunsets, birds, landscapes) but my style depends on the photo, the context and also the colors of the photo itself.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I was born in Colombia and lived there half of my life. I think that my culture is very colorful and emotional so when I take a photo or somebody takes me a photo I always prefer to be seen happy or doing what I love the most
What advice would you give to aspiring photographers out there?
Be yourself, there is nothing wrong to get inspired in other photographers style but always try to put yourself in that photo
Have you ever run out of ideas?
Yes, of course. Creativeness comes out of nowhere. There is no formula so maybe sometimes I don’t feel like taking photos because I need that inspiration.
How do you find places and models for your shootings?
I’m my own model so I love to experiment on myself and the places are everywhere, there is no “perfect” place. You make it perfect.
What’s the one piece of photo gear you couldn’t live without?
My tripod, I only need my tripod to find the perfect shot and I only have to pose
Do you edit your photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
Sure! I use lightroom and once I like the colors I use VSCO
