Flavia Santiago is a Brazilian model and photographer. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
It was more of an accident and became a hobby. I knew photographers and one day I got invited to shoot with a friend in 2014 and never stopped since
How were you discovered?
I was never discovered. I’m a freelancer.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
The one I did in French Normandy, by the beach. We took 4h to get there by car from Paris, all the crew together, it was a very fun experience
How would you define your personal style?
I’m open to any style. Ive done bridal, street, casual, boudoir, fashion etc. As in photography I’m a person with many sides and moods
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I’m Brazilian and I still live here, I guess I don’t have a good sense of fashion or trend, since we go by our own culture. Lots of color and patterns we don’t care much for European fashion
Who is your style icon and why?
I don’t have one. I prefer to follow my guts
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Also don’t have a favorite. But I like the ones that work with street style
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
Can’t really give any advice because I’m a freelancer, I preferred to not get involved in the industry
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
I don’t. I respect the photographers i work with and I leave to them the editing. I only edit selfies and poorly
