How did you fall in love with modeling?
Well, I started fairly young! I always enjoyed either being in front of a camera getting all the attention or being behind a camera creating dope content or just making memories! It’s a fun hobby for Instagram etc. but it also has kickstarted my career to be a model full time and also becoming a published model! Social media has honestly changed my life for the better for sure!
How were you discovered?
Instagram Instagram Instagram! The amazing, the magnificent Instagram!
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
Hmmmm, hard question! But I would say it was the first ever brand shoot I’ve done (through Instagram) just the process of everything and getting a feel of the business side of social media was very very interesting and I’m glad I learned young!
How would you define your personal style?
My personal style varies! I’m honestly still trying to figure out my own personal style so I’m mixed and matched between streetwear, vintage, and high fashion!
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I grew up in a small town in North Carolina called Elizabeth City, NC! Close by kitty hawk, NC! It’s a town where everyone dresses the same and acts the same so I just had to fit in the best I could and it most definitely wasn’t the style I enjoyed!
Who is your style icon and why?
My style icon has a wide variety of celebrities, artist, etc. but the mix is between Travis Scott, Kayne (of course), A$AP Rocky, Vergil Abloh, Pharrell Williams, Tinie Tempah and many more! I believe their styles are very unique and diverse to wear they make uo their own sense of style and throw something together just to make themselves stand out from the rest and I love that!!!!
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
I would say Bruce Weber! Just because he’s so involved with the modeling world and his style of shooting is so unique but amazing!! I would love to work with him someday!
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
It’s all about putting your name out there for yourself! If your dream is to become a model then do it! Don’t give up! Work on yourself and your image and just be confident with who you are! It’s not hard but it’s not an easy market. All you have to do is have a positive mindset on what you wanna do and do it! Confident, positivity, and patience is most important in any dream or goal you want to achieve.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
Yes! I do edit my own photos from time to time or I have photographer friends help me out! I currently use VSCO because it’s quick and easy and I can do it right on my phone!
