Jessica Gomez is an international model, traveler and DJ from Granollers, Spain. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
I fell in love when I started when I was 18 years old doing some shootings and spots figurations because many friends and family were always saying me that I should tried it because I looked like a model!
How were you discovered?
Friends and family discovered me! hahaha But in fact, I came to many agencies in Barcelona and many of them caught me, so I started like that.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I did many interesting shootings but If I have to mention some, I would say my interview with pictures of course in the Australian magazine “People” and when I was in the back cover of “Primera linea” magazine in Spain.
How would you define your personal style?
Elegant and sexy.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I grew up in a little city called “Granollers”, around 40 min away from Barcelona city and who made me interested in fashion was my grandma who always put catwalk shows in TV when I had lunch and who always had a great sense of fashion. She always combined all her shoes, bags and jewelry by colours perfectly, dressed very elegant and had the make up and hair always ready and incredible. All an icon for me.
Who is your style icon and why?
Leyla Milani is my reference. I adore her hair, style and lifestyle. She is all a business woman!
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Brandon Woelfel from NY. I love his different style, the play of lights and colours he does and the portraits.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
I would say that if they really wants to be someone in modeling, they have to take risks, travel, take all the oportunities (never know with who are you going to work or who will see you), never give up, do many collaborations always and keep the social networks always working.
Visibility everywhere is the most important but the most important is to get up every time you receive a “NO” answer of somebody or of a casting. Important celebrities has received lots of “NO” before become famous!
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
Yes, 80% of my works I like to edit by myself. I use photoshop CS6.
