Jessica Markowski is a beautiful Polish model, actress, and a content creator. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
Being from NYC, I was recruited by a modeling agency as I was in a rush to get to my high school morning class! It all began at that point and haven’t left my love of work since!
How were you discovered?
As I was on my way to my high school in Manhattan, a booker approached me and asked if I were a model. I said no, and my work has started from that point forward!
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
The most interesting shot I have had was one of the first bookings I have ever had for Cosmopolitan Magazine. I was probably 15/16 at the time and was supposed to be part of an intimate scene as I got to set. My mom was there with me and they slowly realized I was not over 18 to be considered in that particular shot. They instead put me in their beauty segment as I was more fit for it!
How would you define your personal style?
Hip, Cool with a splash of Sophistication!
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I grew up in Brooklyn! (Crazy right?) I grew up there before it became gentrified! My parents came from Poland in the 90’s and had me here! My roots definitely influenced my sense of style as I grew up in a European home in America. I think my style is very unique in that aspect. So that is why my style is the way it is!
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
I would tell aspiring models to be in major metropolitan areas such as NY, LA, Paris, London, etc. Once you are there, network, meet people and create your own brand and business!
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
If I am shooting content for my social media, I edit my own photos. I like my images a certain why and so I usually love when a photographer sends me all images for me to enhance myself. I use Lightroom and VSCO a lot.
