Lauren Summer is a successful and gorgeous American model. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
It all astaryed when I was a little girl walking into a Victoria’s Secret store with my mom. I saw a giant photo of Adriana Lima and knew right then and there that that was the type of woman-power I wanted to promote and persue.
How were you discovered?
Social Media! My “big break” was shooting for Playboy, and as soon as a photo posted on their Instagram, my whole life blew up! It’s been an exciting roller coaster ever since, haha.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
The most interesting shoot that comes to mind is shitting down all of Wormsloe in Savannah, Georgia for a photo shoot. We had to get permission from the local government and everything. All of the tourists thought we were some kind of live entertainment. It’s was an awesome experience to say the least haha.
How would you define your personal style?
Casual, clean, and minimal. There’s nothing like a white tee, ripped jeans, and an ankle bootie to make you feel good.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
A small suburb outside of Orlando called Apopka. Everything was nice and quaint, just what you needed. Just like my closet!
Who is your style icon and why?
There are so many! I love everything from Olivia Culpo’s effortless put
-together looks all the way to Kim Kardashian West’s oversized sweaters and Yeezys. I guess it just depends on the day! Today, however, I’m rockin’ the latter haha.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Richard Avedon! Is that super hipster of me to say? Probably. *sips cold brew*
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
Be true to you. So many people will tell you that you are on the wrong path, or you need to lose weight, or get a tan. They are all wrong. Be the best version of you, and work your little butt off. You will rise above everyone who ever doubted you. Self confidence is key.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
Yes! I never edit a photographers final product, but I edit all of the photos I take myself. VSCO cam has been the go to!
