Lillian L. Leung is a Chinese freelance model and founder of @lilsweetthings_.I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
Modelling keeps me dreaming and gives me confidence. I learn and see a lot from modelling.
I love taking photo. I love being on the stage. I love meeting and working with different people as well.
How were you discovered?
I was about 5, 6 years old. On my way home with my mum after ballet lesson. A lady from a production house saw us on the street and asked if I wanted to shoot for a tvc.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
My ever first music video for a female singer (Kelly Chen) in Hong Kong. I have to carry a guy (40lb heavier than me) on the back and walked up and down the hill.
Another one was for McDonald tvc. My cast was a Geisha. I have to paint my face white. And took three people hours to dress the geisha kimono on me.
How would you define your personal style?
Mixture of classic, whimsical and Chic.
Simple with little details.
All time favourite: high-waist shorts, floral dress, hoops earrings.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
Home town is Hong Kong. Studied in England.
Mixture of both European and Chinese.
Who is your style icon and why?
Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Portman
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
Love your job and be professional
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
