Lola Chél is a fashion model and a serial entrepreneur from Florida. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
I was given the opportunity through a modeling troupe in college. Once I refined my skills and started making an impact on people and brands my love for modeling skyrocketed.
How were you discovered?
A representative from your brand came across my account on Instagram. As for how I became discovered by agencies – I applied and put myself out there.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
One of my most interesting shoots had to do with galaxies and glitter! It was a beauty shoot so my face, neck, shoulders, arms and hands were covered with various shades of blue make up and glitter. I can’t wait to release the tear sheets from that shoot.
How would you define your personal style?
Simple and shape-enhancing. I love clothes that are simple, can be dressed up or down, and can be mixed and matched! Add in cuts that accentuate my frame and you have my personal style.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I’ve grown up in Pompano Beach Florida. I think it’s had an impact on me as a person so that influences how I carry myself and what/who I stand for. As far as my sense of style I don’t think my hometown has influenced it.
Who is your style icon and why?
Keke Palmer – she’s not afraid to switch up her look and she can literally pull off anything. That coupled with the fact that we are around the same age and have similar features I can really see myself being able to pull off the same looks. So she’s definitely an inspiration for me to push some of my style boundaries.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Right now @islandboiphotography – he captures beauty that reflects my own and makes every photo a regal piece of art.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
When they don’t open the door for you create your own.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
No I do not but I do know that when I have sat in on photographers editing my work they have used programs in the adobe suite such as Lightroom and photoshop.
We would like to express our gratitude to Lola Chél for this great interview.
