Manou is a a stunning model, designer and the owner of @manoubymanou
I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
I’m too short to be a runway model and that’s why it’s so much to be finally accepted in the social media world as a “short model”.
How were you discovered?
I simply started taking pictures of me wearing different clothes. And then more and more brands would reach out to me for a collaboration.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I’ve done a shoot for an amazon serie called “Model Diaries” and that was one of my top shoots so far – next to a crazy shoot at Death Valley where I literally thought I’m gonna die….
How would you define your personal style?
People call me “The Chameleon”. That’s probably enough said, no? 🙂 I wear anything from a rockstar to a Beverly Hills DIVA. I just LOVE taking a piece of fashion it making it to my own style (Manou-ish)
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I grew up in Switzerland in a very small. People don’t pay attention to style there at all so I had to learn it by simply trying out new styles everyday. That’s probably also what made me to a chameleon today.
Who is your style icon and why?
Victoria Beckham. She’s such a good business woman, mom and dressed up 24/7.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
My husband 😉 He’s taking all my photos. He has his own very unique style and I am so proud of him for being just HIMSELF and don’t do the kind of pictures everyone else is doing.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
Be yourself and don’t copy anyone else out there.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
No, my husband does. Lightroom and photoshop.
We would like to express our gratitude to Manou for this great interview.
