Philippe Horowicz is a Switzerland based model. He has also been working for several modelling agencies all over the world Such as NEXT Models, Elite Models, Wilhelmina Models, Avenue Management, TopShine Models, Direction USA, etc.
I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modelling?
Got scouted a few years ago and the ability to make a living while traveling the world is a blessing.
How were you discovered?
I first approached an agency in Tampa which led me to be signed by Wilhelmina Miami then Elite Model and now Next Models
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I have the chance to be pretty good at sports, especially golf, so all my golf shoots where great! Location, crew and campaign.
How would you define your personal style?
I have so many different styles. From relax Black T-shirt/jeans to business casual. I love fashion and all it’s weirdness 🙂
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
Funny enough, I grew up in a small town in the Alps of Switzerland. Not much interesting fashion going on there, but I did travel to Milan and Paris quite often since it’s so close.
I also moved to FL when I was 16 to pursuit a golfing career which gave me mix of European and American Style.
Who is your style icon and why?
I honestly don’t have one. I am/adapt my styling depending on the occasion.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
That’s a hard question. I have shot with some great photographers and some not as great. I see photography like an art piece. Some you love, some you hate.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
Modeling is a lifestyle as well. Be carful to not go overboard. They will be party and other things. Know your limits! I’ve always encourage to stay healthy (eat healthy, workout, etc.)
Most important: don’t be afraid to say NO! The modeling industry is also known for its bad (sexual harassments) don’t be afraid, even if it will cost you a client or a job.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
Usually not unless I or friends of mine take the picture. I use Lightroom !
We would like to express our gratitude to Philippe Horowicz for this great interview.
