Stacey Ohiane is a model, dancer and actress from Texas. I hope you’ll enjoy the interview;
How did you fall in love with modeling?
I’ve always loved being in front of the camera since I can remember. I love fashion and all the the different styles I get to wear. I don’t think there was a moment I felt in love with modeling, I think for me it’s a lifestyle since forever and I love it!
How were you discovered?
My mom was the first one to discover my talent when I was little. She submitted me to an agent and I was signed right after but I have to say that I’ve been blessed to being asked to work with great companies that discovered me through social media.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
I find every shoot that I’ve worked on very interesting for different reasons. Sometimes it’s the location, the clothes, the makeup, or the people I get to work with what makes them all interesting. Working with Miss Behave Girls is amazing every time! I also loved my recent campaign with Ecko, It was also my first international campaign.
How would you define your personal style?
I’d define my personal style as “simple, girly, with a little bit of an edge” I also love old fashion.
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I was born and grew up in Dallas, Texas, but I have Argentinian roots because of my parents, that definitely helped me to be open and appreciate different cultures and fashion.
Who is your style icon and why?
I don’t have any style icon in particular but there are people I look up to and inspire me so much like Claudia Schiffer
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
My mom was my first photographer and she’s still my favorite for sure, she knows me so well she can always find the best in me and take advantage of it.
Of course I’ve loved working with some amazing photographers along the way, I’m thrilled every time I get to work with Alex Kruk, she’s amazing!
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
To any aspiring models out there I’d say “Be You” I think in this industry it’s important to be yourself and stand out from the rest to make a statement to be remembered. Nobody is perfect and we are all different, and that’s what make us unique and special, you want people to love you because of that.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
I don’t usually edit my photos. I have a couple apps like VSCO and lens distortions but I generally just use my iPhone and it’s features.
