Yotam Shwartz is a model, also a photographer from Haifa, Israel.

How did you fall in love with modeling?
I’m not sure if I fell in Love I just had a good opportunity to make money and I took it.
And it helped me understand what I realy want to do. Photography.
I was exposed to photography from my modeling career so I’m glad it happened.
How were you discovered?
My mother sent pictures of me to Betty Rockaway which is a big name in israeli fashion and a big agent, she called me and we had a nice meeting and that’s it.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you’ve done?
Hmm, it’s hard to tell after 7 years in the business. Though for me interesting Shooting is when you try to create art and something new. Not to copy and do it the normal way.
How would you define your personal style?
It’s hard to speak about yourself in the terms. Maybe you can tell me 😜
Where did you grow up? How have your roots influenced your sense of style?
I was born in Haifa, Israel, beautiful city. No doubt it effected in my personality and style.
It’s a relaxed city on a mountain by the sea.
I think I’m more of a relaxed guy because of it.
When you wake up in my mothers house you first see the whole ocean spread in front of you.
And the great weather if Israel.
Who is your style icon and why?
I don’t think I have someone I look up to.
Just try to be myself.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Oh, that is a hard question. I’m inspired by many photographers.
First of all ralph Baiker, which I was assisting for the last years, is my mentor and teaches me a lot.
Another one photographer I realy love his work is Philip Lorca di corcia.
He was just brilliant.
What advice would you give to aspiring models out there?
I would say, don’t change yourself for the “love” of people. Stay who you are, it’s the best, you are he best.
Do you edit your own photos? If yes, which programs do you use?
I’m using Lightroom, photoshop, VSCO and snapseed
